Support Trudi's children
Donation protected
In the name of Allah, the Kind, the Merciful.
We are raising money to support the children of our recently departed sister Trudi who passed away on 24 February 2021.
Trudi was a much loved and remarkable person, who suffered a lot but remained patient throughout. Raised as a Christian in Portadown, Northern Ireland, she studied French and Modern Languages in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her dissertation was about the banning of the hijab in France. Allah guided her to Islam in 2007. She has written several beautiful, heart-felt articles about Islam which you can read on the link below.

She had a long and difficult struggle with breast cancer and, having previously believed she was clear, was then struck again with a recurrence that couldn't be treated.
She leaves behind two children, Ibrahim and Zainab, who will be raised by her parents and her siblings.
In Islam, an orphan is someone who has lost one or both parents.
As we know, Prophet Muhammad (saws) was an orphan and Allah urges us to spend on orphans.
"Whatever you spend of good is for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good, indeed Allah is Knowing of it." (Quran 2:215)
"No, but you don't honour the orphan!" (Quran 89.17)
Please take this opportunity to support these two orphans. People often give to charities who support orphans across the world - here we have two in the UK who we can help as well.
May Allah accept your kindness.
Sadia and Nadeem Ali
After discussion with the family, it has been decided that the funds will be transferred to Clive Jonathan Best, Trudi's brother, to manage. He will be responsible for ensuring that they are spent solely on the needs and welfare of Ibrahim and Zainab, at any stage from the time of withdrawal of the funds.
