Support Turosca Allen in Reopening WOLA Center

My name is Turosca Allen, and I am the owner and operator of World of Little Angels Childcare Center (WOLA). I am an Altadena native and resident, and like many members of our tight-knit community, I was affected by the Eaton fire.

Although I lost my apartment and pretty much all of my belongings, my main concerns have been my family's safety and well-being, as well as that of WOLA staff, students, and parents. The Allen Family Child Care, owned and operated by my mother Edna Allen, was also completely burned down, leaving her without a home and her daycare families without the childcare they rely on.

My goal is to reopen WOLA for my current students, make room for AFCC attendees, and offer free/discounted childcare to families who have been affected and displaced by the wildfires. Now, more than ever, the community needs the support of essential service providers such as myself, and I have made a commitment to continue serving and supporting our youth.

I am raising funds to fix the minimal damage caused to the WOLA facility and purchase enough furniture and supplies for what I expect to be an influx of families in need. While WOLA usually enrolls students ages 2-12 years old, due to the sudden loss of AFCC, we will now be accepting nursery ages. This will require us to provide supplies, furniture, bedding, and staff special to infant care.

Every dollar I receive in donations will go to reopening my doors to the community, to provide what most parents need to begin recovering from this tragedy. With your support, we can reopen a staple in the community and help the families of Altadena get the support they need. Anything helps and all is appreciated.
