Support Two Brothers' Fight Against Disease
Donation protected
Hi, my name's Aisha, and I've made this fundraiser on behalf of my relatives who are both close to my age and have been diagnosed with life-altering diseases.
Background:
They are 17 and 21 years old; both have gone to Pakistan to receive treatment, but due to their socioeconomic standing, they cannot afford medical care and are mistreated by hospital officials.
The older brother, 21, was diagnosed with AV fistula, a condition that impacts the way blood vessels flow between arteries and veins directly due to abnormal connections.
His younger brother, 17, is experiencing kidney failure, and his remaining kidney is unable to work correctly. Its placement is crooked, according to the medical prognosis, and because of that, it cannot function properly.
Why you should consider helping:
- The younger brother has not been admitted to the hospital.
- Their family has been forced to pick between their sons in terms of who can receive medical care due to their lack of financial stability. Hence, the oldest was admitted to the hospital.
- Government aid is not given to individuals who are severely impoverished overseas.
- Both young men are very young and have a lot of potential. Due to their conditions, their family is experiencing a lot of pressure; they have four younger children and cannot adequately provide for themselves or their family.
- All of the family's income has been spent providing some semblance of treatment for their sons.
The donation expenses:
Your donation will enable us to provide them with the opportunity to treat both brothers' conditions. How so? Through the following:
- The oldest has to have surgery done to transfer some of his veins and arteries from his functioning leg to the one that is messed up.
- The younger brother needs to go on medication for six months to strengthen his remaining kidney. After that, they plan on doing a kidney transplant for him.
- We aim to raise $2,500 to cover the basics for the brothers. The costs will be split evenly between the treatment for both siblings.
How you can help:
1. Donate: Even the smallest amount can go a long way. Regardless of the amount, any donation will allow us to help them receive at least some medical care.
2. Share: Even by sharing this with friends and family, the circle for potentially helping these brothers will drastically increase. Your networks will enable us to raise awareness for their conditions.
There are many ways to help other than donating; by spreading the word, you will drastically help our cause. By allowing them to reclaim their goals and health, you will forever leave an impression on their family and their lives. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for taking the time to spread compassion and help others in need.
Best,
Aisha
