Support Two Disabled Sisters Surviving Extermination In Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Max, and I am from New York. I’m writing on behalf of my friends Ameera and Sawsan, two sisters from Gaza, who both suffer from epidermolysis bullosa, a rare and painful skin condition. Ameera is a writer and poet, and Sawsan is a pharmacist whose pharmacy was destroyed by the occupation.
They are the cousins of Abeer G., who was verified by a collective of Palestinian social media users, and is number 202 on their list which you can find here .

About Ameera and Sawsan:
Ameera and Sawsan are two kind souls who already suffer immensely from the daily struggle of living with EB. Now, they are contending with that under the conditions of genocide, siege, and famine. I spoke directly with Ameera, who shared with me that although she's a tough girl, the last month or so has really broken down her spirit -- as of writing, it is now 2 days before the 1 year memorial for the start of this war. At what point during a year of bombardment and starvation would you feel you have had your spirit wounded?
I drew this portrait of Sawsan (left) and Ameera (right) as they are interested in maintaining some degree of privacy.
Epidermolysis Bullosa
These are pictures Ameera shared with me of her condition, and also asked me to share with you. As you can see, this is very painful and even dangerous to live with. Each of these wounds not only causes terrible pain, but can also be secondarily infected, a very real possibility given the lack of soap, fresh water, and medicine in Gaza due to the siege.
Ameera's skin, blistered due to EB.
How will the money be used?
Ameera and Sawsan will use funds from this campaign to buy food, water, and medicine - they need antibiotics and painkillers constantly due to their condition. Beyond that, funds will also be saved for potential evacuation, should the opportunity arise, so that the sisters can get medical care, and eventually to rebuild their home and their lives after the end of the war.
How will I get them the money?
The money will be sent directly through a wire transfer to the Bank of Palestine.
Other Photos
Below are some photos Ameera shared with me. The first is Ameera and Sawsan's nieces: top is Taleen and the bottom is Farah.
Some photos are of their bombed home, as well as the destroyed street nearby. Ameera also sent me photos of the tent in which they were living.
Thank you for donating & sharing. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, and I will relate them to Ameera.
NB: I used the same text + photos here as I used on a different platform. I am the organizer on both campaigns, and the funds go to the same recipients.
