Support UIUC March for Science

We are a group of students, researchers, and community members who have come together to create our group Rise Up for Science, and organized our local Stand Up for Science in 2025. We are continuing to organize for our local March for Science and the Peoples Science Fair on Earth Day April 22. Importantly we have ONE WEEK to raise our funds for the event.

The March for Science champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good, and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest.

Our mission is to:

-Stand in support for funding the sciences

-Stand in support of DEI in the sciences

-Oppose the federal cuts to scientific institutions

-Oppose censorship and political interference

-Bridge the gap between the community and science

We are co-sponsored by the University YMCA so all donations are tax deductible.
