Hello, my name is Tom Sullivan and I truly appreciate you taking a minute to read this. I am a part of the volunteer organization Spark Spolek based in the Czech Republic. Our aim is to assist the people of Ukraine with the immeasurable damage that has been caused by the Russian invasion of their country. Specifically we aim to help the tens of thousands of women and children who have been affected by this conflict, including the many held and tortured by Russians soldiers.

These women are in dire need of both psychological and emotional help, we are responding to this urgent situation by establishing a rehabilitation center for them. The goal of the center is to help them overcome this trauma, find meaning in life and rejoin society. We have already acquired a large house located in a quiet neighborhood outside of Kyiv that will be used for the Center. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of reconstruction needed on this property before the center can be opened. The property itself needs external repairs and the inside of the house needs significant modernization.

We are currently working with a few other individuals, businesses and NGOS here in the Czech Republic to raise funds for these repairs as well as for the operation of the Centre. But this fundraising takes time, which is something many of these women are short on, as suicide is prevalent among these women. So we turn to you, any money donated will go towards the renovation and opening of the Center. If you cannot, or do not feel comfortable donating at this time, we ask that you share this with friends and family.
