Support the Gaza Education Hub: Rebuilding Dreams Through Education

The Gaza Strip has been ravaged by war, leading to widespread destruction, displacement, and a deepening humanitarian crises. Among the hardest hit are university students, whose futures have been thrown into uncertainty. Forced to live in makeshift shelters without basic necessities like electricity, study materials, and internet access, their dreams of education are fading.

The devastation is overwhelming. Human rights organisations report the destructions of over 80% of schools, loss of 3 university presidents, 95 deans and professors, and 68 instructors in Israeli raids. Additionally, 88,000 students have been forced to halt their studies, while 555 scholarship recipients have been unable to pursue their opportunities abroad.

However, even in the face of such adversity, education remains a beacon of hope. In collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, universities in Gaza have initiated distance learning through the Moodle platform, offering students a lifeline to continue their academic journey.

Yet, this transition to remote education presents its own set of challenges—unstable electricity, limited internet access, and a lack of quiet, focused study environments. In response, we are launching the Gaza Education Hub, an initiative designed to support displaced university students in southern Gaza and provide them with the resources they need to continue learning.

Launching the Gaza Education Hub: Bringing Hope and Opportunity

The Gaza Education Hub isn’t just about providing education—it’s about restoring hope, stability, and opportunity for students determined to overcome immense obstacles. With your support, we can create safe, well-equipped learning spaces where displaced students can study and work towards a better future.

Our Vision:

1. Establish Safe Learning Spaces: We will create educational hubs powered by solar energy, equipped with high-speed internet and the necessary study materials, offering students a quiet place to learn.
2. Provide Continuous Support: Students will receive academic mentoring, counselling services, and access to online learning platforms, ensuring they stay on track with their education.

Our Mission:

The Gaza Education Hub aims to serve 1,000 displaced university students in southern Gaza, providing them with the essential tools and conducive environments to pursue their studies. By offering access to reliable internet, study materials, and peaceful spaces, we can help them overcome the barriers they face and give them the chance to achieve their academic dreams.

Why Your Support is Crucial:

1. Destruction and Displacement: The war has reduced universities to rubble, leaving students without classrooms, books, or quiet spaces to study.
2. Lack of Resources: Students are struggling with unreliable electricity, insufficient internet access, and a severe lack of basic study materials, making it nearly impossible to continue remote learning.

How Your Contribution Can Help:

Enhance Academic Success: By providing a stable and resource-rich environment, you’ll enable students to focus on their studies and achieve their full potential.
Support Mental Well-Being: Through mental health services and workshops on stress management, we’ll help students cope with the trauma they’ve experienced and build resilience for the future.
Empower a Community: Investing in education is investing in the future of Gaza. Your support will help foster a culture of learning, progress, and hope in a community that needs it now more than ever.
