Support unjustly fired seafood workers

Tax deductible
Immigrant workers at one of New Bedford's leading seafood companies, Eastern Fisheries, have been organizing to improve their working conditions as part of a grassroots campaign called Pescando Justicia (Fishing for Justice). After many years of hard work at Eastern, they are now out of work. After a Pescando Justicia leader fired for her advocacy efforts filed a complaint, and the company was forced to admit wrongdoing and reinstate her, they retaliated against the workers, and now they are out of a job. While the federal government investigates the unjust dismissals, the Pescando Justicia members are demanding that Eastern Fisheries give them back their jobs.

Your donation will go directly towards providing food and cash assistance to these workers and their families as they try to deal with losing their paychecks and demand justice. Support immigrant workers standing up to corporations that take advantage of their labor, only to get rid of them when the workers assert their rights!

Please share this campaign with your friends!

Pescando Justicia is a worker-led initiative that seeks dignified working conditions in the seafood processing industry in Southeastern Massachusetts. It was established as a collaboration between Centro Comunitario de Trabajadores, an immigrant workers' center, and Justice at Work, a legal non-profit.
