Support Vanessa Pandey's Family After Fire Loss

Aloha all. This is Vanessa Pandey. Some have been asking about what you can possibly do for my family, since we lost my grandmother's Palisades house in the Los Angeles fires. As of right now, we do not know how much insurance will cover or how long that process will take (likely months), but my uncles (Chris, Kevin, and Courtney) relied on income from that house to pay for basic necessities like bills and groceries. They are all in their older age, seventies or near seventies and either work very little or are unable to at this point. They also receive next to nothing in social security. I'm creating this fundraiser just to help them cover their needs over the next several months as they get through the arduous insurance process-- food, gas, utility bills. It's too early to know if we will get the house back to what it was or not, but it's possible we won't be able to. It was a truly special home that multiple generations (including me) had lived in, and it had stood there since the 1940's. It may not have been a mansion even though it was near many such homes. But it was cozy and charming, and one of my favorite places on earth. It's definitely an emotional loss, more than just stuff. I know many in my community have gone through hardship with Lahaina and may be tapped out. I totally understand. Anything, literally anything, that anyone can give is appreciated. I just want to do what I can to help out my family and since they don't use social media, I figured I ought to spread this around. Mahalo Nui Loa, my deepest gratitude, for whatever you can offer.
