Support Vanessa's Fight Against Kidney Failure

Dear friends,

Vanessa is one of the coolest scientists there is! Seriously, they have a different tattoo for every project they’ve ever worked on. They can also beat every single one of us at pool without even trying. But above all else, Vanessa is an incredible friend. They are unwavering in their humanity as one of the best listeners and empathizers I know. Unfortunately, they are in need of our help.

Vanessa has been battling serious medical issues for some time and is currently hospitalized for their kidneys going into renal failure. The underlying causes are still undetermined, but they are undergoing serious testing that won’t be fully covered by university insurance. In spite of this, Vanessa has had an indomitable will and we write to you, the Gilliam community, as their close friend. We aim to alleviate medical expenses that Vanessa accumulates during this time to help support Vanessa and help save their kidneys (or at least try to lighten the financial load for them and their family).
