Dear friends and kind supporters,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts on behalf of our dear friends, Swetha and Madhavan, and their family, who recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of their precious son, Veer. Born at just 24 weeks and 1 day of gestation as Twin A, Veer weighed only 1 lb and 4 oz at birth. From the very start, he faced overwhelming medical challenges and fought valiantly during his 7-month stay in the NICU.

Veer was born with a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), which required ligation surgery—a critical procedure that unfortunately led to a major setback in his condition. He was later diagnosed with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), causing his fragile lungs to rely on high levels of oxygen and constant ventilator support. Throughout his stay, Veer endured multiple fractures due to bone demineralization and faced numerous infections that hindered his ability to thrive and gain weight.

As if these challenges weren't enough, Veer developed pulmonary hypertension and experienced a devastating pulmonary hypertension crisis, which led to paralysis. From that point on, he required sedation and the highest doses of pain medications. Despite all of this, Veer was a true fighter, bravely enduring every obstacle in his path, though his progress was painfully slow.

In the end, it was a severe bout of pneumonia that overwhelmed his already sick lungs. Veer's little body became too tired, and his oxygen levels dropped to record lows. Despite the incredible strength he displayed, his journey came to a heartbreaking end.

As his family grapples with this profound loss, we are asking for your support in covering Veer's burial expenses and the extensive medical bills from his time in the NICU. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden during this unimaginably difficult time.
