We write to you today with heavy hearts as we share the tragic news of the Vickery family's home being destroyed by a recent tornado in Valley View, Texas. De and David Vickery, pillars of their community and beloved members of our extended family, have lost everything in this calamity.

The devastation extends beyond mere possessions; it has shattered the very fabric of their lives. Their cherished home, once a sanctuary filled with love and laughter, now lies in ruins. Amidst the chaos, their beloved cat Rusty remains missing, adding to the anguish of their loss.

David, a disabled veteran, and De, a dedicated entrepreneur running a dog grooming business, face immense challenges ahead. Both have battled substantial health issues, yet their resilience has always shone through. Despite their own struggles, they have generously supported their community, church, and the greyhound fostering community.

Their grandson Jareth, thankfully unharmed during the tornado, along with his friend Eric, now find themselves without a home. The Vickerys, with nothing but the clothes on their backs, are starting over from scratch.
