Support Vicki's Stroke Recovery Journey

Hello! My name is Allison Benton and my mama, Vicki, has suffered a stroke. She’s stuck here in the hospital and cannot work, and won’t be able to for the foreseeable future. She’s our house’s only income, it’s just me and her since my dad died in 2020. She’s 62 years old (63 in August!) and constantly worries about everyone else, never herself. Even here in the hospital she’s worried about me, and I just really want to help her. We’ve struggled financially, living month-to-month, for four years now. We’re unsure on how much of this hospital stay will be covered in insurance, and I need to keep the lights on at home while she’s here.
