On Saturday, April 16th, a 16-year-old Black teenager was stabbed in her back multiple times by a 16-year-old white teenager who called her a n***er b*tch. A 17-year-old white teenager, father and two additional males accompanied the aggressor and screamed racial epithets while the attack occurred. Her mother had to stop the other white teenager from beating her daughter with a metal rod. The mother reports that the adults and juveniles repeatedly have, on different occasions, called them the nword. This family has been experiencing racialized trauma for a while as neighbors.
The Family Demands:
- The arrest of the men who accompanied the attacker for their involvement in this hate crime.
- Department of Justice review to see if additional federal charges and assistance to the family are possible.
- FBI make a public statement about their involvement in any investigation
