Hello! My name is Micheline Rosmann, and I have been living in California since 2019, all my family and friends stayed in Brazil, in a city called Porto Alegre. This beautiful city, and the whole state of Rio Grande do Sul, are experiencing the worst climate tragedy in its history. There are countless families who lost everything, and many lives were lost. We will only be able to really calculate the damages when the water starts to recede - which will take a while.

In this horrible scenario, my mom, dad, sister with her 5 cats, 2 dogs, the little girl from the picture, my auntie, Sara with her son, and two other friends, have lost everything. Their homes are completely underwater.

Everyone is alive and safe, but no one is well. Devastated by losing everything: in addition to material goods, memories of a lifetime, things that cannot be recovered: photos, memories, books, clothes, the construction of an entire life.
