Support Victoria in Giving Her Dad, Sammie, a Proper Goodbye

Hi, my name is Victoria Higgins. The last time I got to talk with my dad was in the summer. Since then, I was not able to reach him through the phone or at his residence. On the evening of Tuesday, November 12th I was informed via text he would pass as soon as tomorrow. Wednesday, November 13th at 1:55 PM, my father, Sammie Harris, passed away in the hospital due to congestive heart failure. I knew this day would come, but in no way was I prepared for it to happen so soon.

As I've come to terms with my dad's passing, I am faced with the difficult task of arranging his final goodbye myself with some additional help from my grandmother. I want to give my dad the send-off he deserves, but unfortunately, the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming to me. I am currently working 2 jobs right now, but I am unable to afford a majority of the costs. I decided to reach out to my community for support in honoring his memory.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow me to grieve the death of my father. Funds raised will go directly towards the funeral costs. I deeply appreciate everybody’s thoughts, prayers, and messages of support throughout this difficult time. Everybody’s kindness means the world to me as I navigate through this grief.
