Our beloved Vir has been diagnosed with cancer. Vir McCoy is a loving father and husband, a profoundly creative founding musician of widely beloved bands like Hamsa Lila, a comedian, biologist, author of health and healing books, and shining light of the West Coast’s progressive festival/visionary art/spiritual communities.

In December of 2020 our beloved Vir got Covid, which turned into long-haul Covid, which he treated with a wide variety of western and alternative medicines. He cleared most of the symptoms, but in September of 2023 he started experiencing severe stomach pains initially diagnosed as SIBO/Gastritis. After a CT scan showed inflamed abdominal Lymph nodes, this led to a diagnosis of cancer specifically Stage 2 diffuse Large B cell non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Vir will now have to undergo treatment to eradicate the cancer. The good news is that all the doctors are saying it is very curable. He will once again be taking an integrative approach using western and alternative medicines.

He has his plan all set, but what he really needs support in now is community love and strength to get him through these next few months, as well as financial support to be able to slow working and focus on getting his health back.
