Support Vivian and Edwin's Urgent Roof Repairs

Hey! Vivian and Edwin here. This year has been extremely difficult for a lot of us so taking the time to read and share this is really greatly appreciated. We are making this gofundme with the hopes of getting some support to get our roof fixed. We initially received a grant for $10000 with the city of Miami and had planned to fix doors and windows for weatherization requirements of the grant. However our plans changed about 2 weeks ago when it rained horribly in Miami, one of our rooms upstairs became flooded and our living room had multiple leaks. We decided we needed to pivot and use money for roof. We were initially quoted out $17000 however as of today we have been quoted additional money to fix leaks, termites and replace all rotten wood/beams from rain. We’re still in good standing to receive $10000, and yet our new remaining amount is $20000

We are hopeful with our community we’ll make our goal and also feeling a bit weird asking for help because we couldn’t have anticipated such a big shift. Thank you for your support!
