Support Vivienne's Fight Against Rare Cancer

This page has been set up by direct family to help raise funds for our beautiful Mum, Vivienne Halverson.

Vivienne is a proud grandmother, beloved wife and devoted mother of five. Less than two weeks ago, our family received the heartbreaking news that Mum has been diagnosed with a rare stage 3 gallbladder cancer. The cancer had spread to her bowel and a surrounding lymph node. This type of cancer is advanced, aggressive and unpredictable.

At the beginning of May, Mum was admitted to hospital fighting sepsis due to complications from the cancer. She has undergone one surgery so far to remove the gallbladder, the cancerous node and part of her bowel.

On the 23rd of August, Mum will have a PET scan to see if the cancer has spread to any other regions of the body. After this, she will be scheduled for another significant operation, checking for further spread of cancer in the region and conducting reconstruction of the area where required.

As you can imagine, this news has come as an incredible shock. Throughout her life, Mum’s love has extended far beyond just our family. She has always been there for others, giving selflessly to support her loved ones and friends. Now it is our turn to rally around Mum and show her the same love and support that she has shown to countless others over the years. We hope to reduce the strain on her during this fight by helping to avoid the financial hardship that can come alongside such a serious diagnosis.
