Burial expenses for my father

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jasmine, the only child of Vollie. Vollie was admitted into the hospital for shortness of breath and was diagnosed with pneumonia. He was able to communicate with us at the beginning of his admission, until the doctor said they had to place a breathing tube to assist him with breathing. My dad became inactive overnight. I then asked the doctor, 'What went wrong?' He said that my dad experienced a series of strokes that affected the right side of his brain. They started him on dialysis, put a feeding tube into his stomach, then placed a trach into his throat. A week had passed with no real big improvements. I knew it was time for me to make the hardest decision of my life. They stopped the dialysis and the feeding. He’s now in hospice care, and he didn’t have any life insurance to help with the burial.

Vollie liked to go out and socialize with the college students; he made a lot of friends. If you needed help with something, my dad was very resourceful; he’d point you in the right direction. My dad’s favorite thing to do was eat. That man knows he can put away some food for him to be so small. He always wanted chicken or BBQ; he’d say, 'That’s some good food.' I was able to bless my father with two grandchildren, two boys, 7 and 18. He’s crazy about his grandchildren; he’d say, 'Butterball, I have to spend as much time as I can with you all. I’m not going to always be here.' So he made sure he would spend time with them every day, watching movies, eating snacks he knew he couldn’t have, going to theme parks, out to eat, and he loved nature walks with Butterball, my seven-year-old. My dad overall was loved by many; he was my protector. My dad lived a troubled life at one point but managed to turn some things around for the better. He didn’t raise me, but he made sure he was there for me as I became an adult.

I really need help properly putting my dad to rest and can’t afford it, being that I just lost my job and have a hard time trying to make ends meet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
