TFS: Supporting the vulnerable in COVID isolation
Donation protected
Hi, we're The Friendly Society, a group of medical students at Barts and The London who work with primary care services and communities in East London to provide support to lonely and vulnerable individuals.
As you all know, we are currently in the middle of a public health crisis with the coronavirus outbreak. Many of society’s most vulnerable individuals are now being told to self-isolate indefinitely in order to protect themselves from COVID-19. These people are facing a great deal of uncertainty and fear around how they will be able to cope for the next few months, especially if they are alone.
In these pressing times, we have decided to adapt our services to fill this gap in social care with our volunteers who will be able to provide remote welfare checks. We desperately need funds so that we will be able to deliver essential goods to those in dire need of it, so please, give what you can and help us to support our community.
