Support Warren and Tricia's Journey Home

Some say that in times of crisis, the strength of community and love helps hold us together...helps us to keep going. For my dear friends Warren and Tricia, this is a time to support and surround them with the love and community they so willingly give to others.

Our dear hearted Tricia is a public health nurse, serving and supporting the community of Altadena, a place she also called home...a home her family cannot return to due to the devastating fires. Warren, an RN colleague and friend, continues to show up for other colleagues and patients everyday whilst facing the hardships of being displaced with 2 young children and 2 fur babies. Even the idea of starting this GoFundMe was not something our humble friends felt comfortable asking for. And so, after multiple bouts of convincing, our selfless friends, the Debuayans, have agreed for me to help start this for them.

Please consider supporting our friends. Even if you cannot afford to give money, I encourage you connect with them, offer a listening ear, hold space for them. Here is a little note from Warren, Tricia, Gemma, Trevor, Charlie and Gary:

"Dear Family, Friends, Neighbors, and Kind Strangers,

My wife and I were born and raised in Los Angeles, and we've always dreamed of owning a home. After years of saving and hard work, we found our roots in Altadena. We started a family, raising 2 kids in a house we said we'd live in forever. Many times we'd fantasize about watching our kids grow up in our beloved little neighborhood of Altadena. Even our cats seemed to love it!

Unfortunately, our world was turned upside down when we evacuated in the early morning of January 8 due to the Eaton Fire that ravaged our community. Miraculously, our home survived, but it was next door to the heaviest of devastation. Our home sustained heavy smoke and ash damage that deemed it unsafe and uninhabitable until the foreseeable future. We have been displaced since the evacuation and face the daunting task of making our home safe again for our family.

We just wanted to say how grateful we are for your help through this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, regardless of size, will help us regain stability and safety.
