Support Warrior Wyatt's Journey to Wellness

This is warrior Wyatt. He has spent most of his life in the hospital. Three years ago, he received the best miracle of all, a heart transplant. Things declined for Wyatt shortly after his transplant, leading him to be on dialysis (no longer on dialysis) and needing a trach. He was sent on hospice two years ago, and after a few months, fought his way back.

Wyatt is now trach and vent dependent. He is in stage 3b kidney failure and has currently been in the hospital for a few days with severe swelling and his kidneys not working.

Wyatt was supposed to be flown to CHOP, but due to the weather, the team is corresponding with Carilion to keep Wyatt stable. CHOP continues to keep an eye on him for any emergent changes.

We continue to pray that Wyatt’s kidneys will heal and begin working properly again. If not, we will have more serious talks on next steps for Wyatt.

Katie and I both have had to miss work often for the past two months due to Wyatt and Makenzie (our type 1 diabetic daughter) being in and out of the hospital.

We have used all of the available PTO and will now have to take an unknown amount of time to be with Wyatt as he is in this condition.

We are all struggling financially and we even hate to create one of these for that fact. We are hoping to help take some of the financial stress off of us while navigating in this scary situation again.
