In Loving Memory of Wayne Ebert
We are heartbroken to share the loss of an incredible man, Wayne Ebert, who passed away on Friday, October 18th, at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Wayne was not only a devoted brother but also a loving father to his two amazing sons, Rocky ("Wayne Jr.") and Nico. This Thursday, October 24th, would have been Wayne's 57th birthday. Instead of celebrating that milestone, we will be gathering this Saturday for a memorial service to honor his life, with details to be confirmed soon.
Wayne bravely battled oropharyngeal cancer (throat cancer) for over a year, enduring rounds of chemotherapy with incredible strength. Sadly, his fight came to an end last week. Wayne's passing leaves a deep void in the lives of his family and friends, especially his brother, Joseph DeMarzo, who has been like a father to me for over 10 years. Wayne was more than just a brother to Joe; he was his best friend and a guiding presence, having a profound influence on Joe's life growing up.
As we come together to celebrate Wayne's life, we are asking for help to cover the unexpected funeral expenses. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference during this difficult time. Your generosity will allow us to give Wayne the farewell he deserves and support his family as they grieve this profound loss.
Thank you so much for your support, thoughts, and prayers. Anything helps. God bless.
