Support Wendy's Family After Altadena Fire
Donation protected
Our hearts are breaking for my little sister Wendy and her family, who lost their home in the devastating Altadena fire. Their house, filled with cherished family heirlooms, their children’s toys, sports equipment, and musical instruments, as well as lifetime memories, were reduced to ashes. Thankfully, Wendy, Gabriel, their kids, and their dogs made it out safely, but they were unable to save anything inside.
Wendy and her family are deeply rooted in the Altadena community, even gracing the cover of the Altadena magazine last November with the caption: The Silva Family - Finding Joy in Their Lives. Now, in the face of this overwhelming loss, we’re asking for your help to bring them hope and joy as they begin the painful journey of rebuilding their lives.
Your monetary support will provide immediate relief and long-term assistance for needs that may not be covered by insurance or other aid. Financial contributions give them the flexibility to purchase essentials like clothing, food, temporary housing, and resources to rebuild their home and lives. Any amount, no matter how small, will help them regain stability and a sense of normalcy during this unimaginable time.
If you are unable to donate, we would be so grateful if you could share this page with others who may know Wendy through her connections at Coronado High, Campus Life, or the countless lives she’s touched.
Thank you for your love, support, and empathy during this difficult season of recovery. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in Wendy, Gabriel, and their children’s lives as they heal from this tragedy.
May God bless the Silva family and all those impacted by these devastating fires. As Isaiah 61:3 says, please God bring them “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
