Support Wendy's Fight Against Cancer

On April 15th, 2025, our mother, Wendy Lafountain, was taken to the E.R. by her amazing boss, Tyler, presenting symptoms of a stroke. It was not a stroke. Wendy was diagnosed with cancer that made its way to her brain.

They discharged her before Easter, where she was able to be present for the annual gathering she puts on with her man and the help of friends and family. With over 5,000 eggs filled and put out with big surprises like gift cards, bikes, skates, and money, baskets with goodies for every kid, a potluck family-style meal, and a joyful Easter bunny picture station (the bunny likes to pop into the crowds and say hi as well), she was able to enjoy the gathering she's been working on for months. Just one example of many amazing things she does for her friends and family.

She has been started on radiation. After 2 weeks of radiation, she will be relocating to Billings, Montana, where she will be doing surgery to remove these masses, followed by chemo for the rest of her cancer. Recovery time from the surgery is normally 4 to 12 weeks.

From day one, her daughter Shay has been by her side. She has done everything from sitting with our mom, to filling out paperwork, picking up anything mom needs, getting insurance dealt with, driving her to appointments, and talking with not only the doctors but family as well.

Billings was picked for the next leg of this journey as Wendy has many family members there, including, and definitely not limited to, 2 sisters - Casey and Kellie, a brother John, their significant others, and a whole slew of nieces, nephews, and cousins. They will be a big help in her recovery and through everything to come.

We believe all the medical portion is covered. We are asking for donations to help cover Wendy's everyday bills along with Shay's as she is taking leave from her job to be by our mother's side, and assistance for all the travel parts for the next 6 months.
