Help Whiskey Fight Lymphoma: Support His Chemo Journey
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during a difficult time. My name is Cassidy, and this is my dog, Whiskey. He’s a sweet and lovable six-year-old Husky/Aussie/Rottweiler mix, and recently, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. While we’ve already started his chemotherapy treatments, the journey ahead will be long, and the costs are adding up quickly. We’re asking for any support you can offer to help us give Whiskey the best chance at recovery.
Whiskey has been my companion since he was just six months old, and he's been by my side through it all. Whether I’m running errands or working, he’s always there with me. He's loved by everyone who meets him—his sweet nature, his enthusiasm, and his unwavering love are truly special. To me, Whiskey is more than just a dog—he's family, and the thought of losing him is heartbreaking.
I want to assure everyone reading this that my primary concern is Whiskey's quality of life. I know that many people may worry about the toll that chemotherapy could take on him, and I promise that I will never push him through treatments that cause him pain or leave him feeling sick and tired. Whiskey is still his happy, energetic self—he loves running around, hiking, playing in lakes, greeting everyone at work, and snoozing on the couch after a long day. As long as he is still "Whiskey," enjoying his life and the things he loves, I will do everything in my power to help him fight.
While his lymphoma is a serious diagnosis, aside from that, Whiskey is incredibly healthy, and it's simply not his time to go yet. I want to give him every chance to live a full life, free from suffering, and I believe this treatment plan will help him do that.
Whiskey’s treatment plan involves at least two initial rounds of chemotherapy, each lasting four weeks, with a short break in between. However, given the aggressive nature of lymphoma, his doctor has advised that he will likely need four to six rounds of chemotherapy in total. The full treatment plan will cost around $12,000 by the end of these rounds, including chemotherapy, medications, tests, and follow-up care. In addition to the medical expenses, the funds will also help cover transportation to the hospital each week for his treatments, as well as the occasional treat to help brighten his spirits.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward Whiskey’s medical bills and treatment-related costs, giving him the best chance at a full recovery. Your generosity—no matter how big or small—will mean the world to me and to Whiskey. If you're unable to donate, sharing this page with others or sending a kind word of encouragement would be just as meaningful. Every bit of support helps, and I am deeply grateful for your time, your love, and your kindness.
Thank you so much for being a part of our journey.
With gratitude,
Cassidy & Whiskey
