Support Whitney Mitchell Algieri's Fight for Life

Our mom, Whitney Mitchell Algieri, needs your help and so does our family. My mom is a caring friend and an amazing mother to Hayes and I. Hayes is a sophomore at Westerly High School and I am a freshman at Clemson University. It’s been hard for both of us the last six months dealing with school and worrying about our mother’s health as she struggles to live.

At the beginning of this summer, a vital organ of my mom's failed. She has been very sick, fighting for her life as her other organs are now beginning to fail too. She has been in numerous hospitals in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, undergoing numerous tests and evaluations, trying to meet the criteria for an organ transplant. Unfortunately, my mom has still not been placed on the list to receive a transplant. The uncertainty and waiting have been extremely frustrating and difficult for my mom. Her prognosis is not very promising; therefore, she may only have months left to live. Despite the constant and excruciating pain my mom is in, she continues to make everyone around her smile and laugh. That is the kind of person my mom is as she always views the world with optimism, no matter what she is going through.

My mom is fighting for her life and has the pressure of trying to maintain her household for Hayes and I. My mom is a single mother and relies solely upon her income to support herself. Her savings have been exhausted because she is unable to work. We are having difficulty meeting all the medical bills and household expenses.

Hayes and I have created this GoFundMe page for our mom, Whitney Mitchell Algieri, to assist our family in paying her medical bills and our household expenses.
