Support William Eckert's Cremation Costs

My name is Kari Eckert, my dad's name is William Eckert, also known as "Mr. Bill". Sadly, he took a turn overnight and passed away on Sunday, August 18th, 2024. He had been in the nursing home for the last few years because he needed someone around him at all times. It became difficult for him to walk and he had frequent falls. At one point, he had a fall that caused a brain bleed. Even after all that, my dad was always stubborn and refused to ask anyone for help, even though he needed it.

With him being in the nursing home, they took his social security every month so there was no money for life insurance and he had nothing planned for it. So, here I am asking for help. My dad wanted to be cremated, so that's what I'm doing. I will, at a later date, have a gathering somewhere for a celebration of life and we can all tell stories of what they remember about my dad or if my dad ever told you off or played a joke on you...he was good with both.

The amount I am trying to raise will cover the cost of the funeral homes' "professional service" as they called it, the crematory fee, the medical examiner fee, and the alternative box they will put his ashes in. I, along with my whole family, would appreciate anything at all... nothing is too small. However, if you aren't able to help, that's ok too. You can give your loved ones an extra hug from us because you never know how much time someone has... tomorrow is never promised!
