Support Willie Dillards Farewell Fund

Greetings,

My name is Norsaahad Dillard and I am creating this GoFundMe to honor the memory of my beloved uncle, Willie “Rooster” Dillard, who passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

In October 2023, while working out of town, my uncle suffered a fall at the hotel where he was staying. This tragic accident resulted in the loss of his mobility, and his health began to decline significantly from that point on. Despite his brave fight, he went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024.

My uncle was a good man who accepted the Lord as his personal savior. He was known for his kindness, his love for old western TV shows, and his unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys. He had a heart of gold and was always there when you needed him. One of the many things I will miss about him is being able to call him when something goes wrong with my car—he was incredibly handy and always ready to help. His warm personality and hard work touched the lives of so many.

Our goal is to give him the dignified and heartfelt farewell he deserves. Unfortunately, while he had insurance, it will not cover the full expenses, and whatever is paid out will not be available for a few months. We are seeking support to cover his funeral services.

While it is not easy to ask for help, I believe the Lord wants us to lean on each other in times of need. As it says in Galatians 6:2, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ."

Right now, there is no date for his services due to the financial issue, but I will keep everyone informed. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us achieve this and is deeply appreciated. Your support will not only help us cover the expenses but also provide comfort during this difficult time, knowing we can honor him in the way he deserves.
