Support Winnie Dortch in Her Road to Recovery
We are reaching out to request your prayers and support for our beloved Winnie Dortch. On October 7, 2024, Winnie was tragically involved in a domestic violence incident in Cleveland, OH, where she was pursuing her dream as a news reporter with WOIO 19 News. This unimaginable event has left her with serious injuries, requiring multiple surgeries, with more still to come.
Winnie, who recently accepted a position at WGN9 News in Chicago, was thrilled to be coming back home this December to be closer to family. She is a loving, kind-hearted, and nonviolent person—known for her bright spirit, dedication to her work, and her deep love for family, especially her 4-year-old daughter, Kaelie. Winnie’s enthusiasm to reunite with her Chicago community and continue her career as a news reporter was something she eagerly looked forward to.
In this time of overwhelming hardship, we are asking for your prayers, love, and support. Winnie is a single mother, now facing the difficult journey of recovery, both physically and emotionally. Any contributions you can make will go a long way in helping to provide for her daily needs and support her as she focuses on healing and raising her beautiful daughter. Your generosity will help alleviate some of the burdens she faces, allowing her to focus on her treatments and the extensive therapy ahead.
We are immensely grateful to God for sparing her life. Winnie has a purpose, and we believe she will emerge from this stronger. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, not only for her physical recovery but also for her emotional and mental well-being. Every prayer, every message of encouragement, and every donation will make a tremendous difference.
Thank you all for your love, kindness, and support during this challenging time. Together, we can help Winnie and Kaelie on their path to brighter days ahead.
