Help Needed From the Community for Women Founders
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sheniece, and I am fundraising for start-up capital. Why, because women and people from diverse communities get less than 3% of the multi-billion dollars of investment capital from VC firms and banks. It’s challenging to overcome the barriers placed before women and diverse groups.
As a female inventor from a diverse community, it has been difficult to get access to the funds necessary to get our invention into production. It can be discouraging to continuously hear no. The doors must open before they can close. It’s the feedback received from focus groups and surveys that indicates that people want our potty-training seat storage solution. People have asked, ‘Why didn’t someone think of it sooner?’ This is our fuel to keep moving forward.
We have a quote from a manufacturer for $56K. A substantial portion of the money raised, $30K, goes to make the aluminum molds used in injection molding to make the holders. $20K will go to purchase the initial supply of holders with the balance going to packaging and shipping. Your donations will make this happen. We anticipate manufacturing to begin in March and sales to begin in June 2024.
