Support Women of Vision's Journey to Hope, Healing and Peace

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Tal and I have the honor, along with other wonderful NYC community members, of bringing Women of Vision - Keeping the Light On: Journey to Hope, to our area from October 1st-9th - in a couple of weeks! Four Jewish and Arab women diverse in their origins and traditions, who are continuing Vivian Silver's vision through a new powerful peace-building initiative, are coming to share their vision and process in the course of 6 separate interactive presentations throughout NY and NJ.

Recognizing that any solution necessitates people's trust to be viable and sustainable, this group of sixteen women is dedicated to fostering healing and relationships on a grassroots level. Their work focuses on creating deep, personal connections that pave the way for a future where Jews and Arabs can live together in peace, and coexist in the land they all call home. Their resistance is rooted in their unwavering refusal to be enemies. Even during these tumultuous times, they hold healing circles where women from all sides come together, sometimes in secrecy, to forge connections and heal through song, ritual, dance, theater, dialogue, and the sharing of grief.
“There’s nothing more healing than talking to someone from the ‘other side’ and discovering they share the same pain and desire for peace and safety, and that they wish to guarantee it for you too,” says Dorit Bat-Shalom, founder of the organization. "Our hearts unite on those evenings, lighting the way forward for all of us. It strengthens us in our daily lives, which are in a constant state of fear, loss, and tragedy. We keep coming together to keep the light on—we keep the friendship and hope alive and insist on manifesting the dream of peace."
By creating spaces where people can rediscover their shared humanity and shared hopes, they promote the recognition that neither people are going anywhere, and therefore there is no choice but to learn to live together. Their goal is to propagate this new consciousness, which is essential for sustainable change. Their workshops are spreading rapidly across Israel, driven by a deep thirst for healing and the recognition that real change cannot be forced by outsiders, nor come from leaders who do not have their people’s best interests at heart.

Please support the journey of transformation they have bravely embarked on amid the current darkness and chaos.
As weavers of a new narrative of unity (it's an art!) and promoters of healing through dialogue, they empower groups of all sizes, traditions, and divides and bring their gifts and tools that spark a culture of peace, Which we very much need here too!

Our ask: We have a couple of wonderful sponsors, yet we still need to fundraise for their food while here, a rental car + gas and insurance, and accommodations in a couple of places. We can and do have rides, but with bags, instruments, and art, a car to and from upstate NY (West Massachusets) and NJ is necessary. We also welcome meals and restaurant certificates, but cash helps these women (and us all) feel free to choose, something that is hard to do in a time of war.
Any amount will help! 100% of funds go directly to the women for food, car & gas, and accommodation while here.

Will you join me and the wonderful venue partners across NY - so we can all experience and learn from their work and success in creating dialogue across differences?
Will you help us enhance the light that increases the # of people walking together 'in the field beyond right and wrong'?

NOTE: For all tour dates, all presenters ask that you come in peace. There is no for/against - the women are letting go of old narratives and searching for a new reality. New visions unfold in time. Let's surround them with our hope!
