Support WOO's New Woodshop in Baltimore

Tax deductible
As you may know, WOO has moved to our new woodshop space at 3470 Seneca St in Baltimore! We still have a lot of work before our woodshop will be fully outfitted and functional for all of our classes, clubs, and community events AND STILL NEED YOUR HELP!

Your 2024 donation gets us closer to offering our FULL range of classes, from tool skills to full-scale furniture-making.

WOO is fiscally sponsored by Fusion Partnerships, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit. Your donation goes through Fusion to WOO. Learn more about Fusion, our fiscal sponsor, by clicking here.

Who We Are:
WOO is an educational woodshop for women and nonbinary people in Baltimore, MD. WOO opened its doors in April 2017 and provides in-person woodworking and furniture-making workshops, community space, and virtual workshops for people underrepresented by gender in the fields of woodworking and furniture-making. Our programming is for people of all skill levels and backgrounds.

Why Our New Woodshop is Awesome:
Our new spot now HAS HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING! We have wonderful outdoor space as well for events like our steam-bending workshops or our weekend chainsaw carving. And we are building it out to be streamlined and straightforward for students, teachers, and WOO members to use and easily learn where all the tools and supplies live.

We are also hosting lots of volunteer days as we build out the shop! And if you are able to make a donation, we need your financial help to support our volunteers and keep WOO open in the future!

Where Your Donation Goes:
Your donation will pay for:
Shop set-up costs (painting, installing storage and shop fixtures, running electrical to our machines, etc.)
General operating expenses (rent, utilities)
Increasing our class offerings: (paying our instructors, buying materials and consumables, etc.)

Please know, WOO relies on the financial support of amazing community members and donors to run our project, and we need your support now more than ever.

A Workshop of Our Own is a fiscally sponsored partner of Fusion Partnerships, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit. This means that your donation to WOO is a donation through Fusion Partnerships, who handle our financial accounts and provide us with institutional support and guidance.
