Support Wyatt - Aplastic Anemia
Donation protected
Wyatt, age 11, was diagnosed with aplastic anemia in May 2019. This is a rare and serious bone marrow failure disease. He lives with his mom Brenda and his two younger siblings. His dad is nearby as well and Wyatt stays with him often.
This illness means Wyatt cannot return to school and will be having blood transfusions regularly. His body is not making blood platelets and he is facing a long road. When the time comes, he may begin immune suppression therapy or a bone marrow transplant. We invite you to research aplastic anemia at aamds.org
At this time, his mom needs to be with him full time. She is a public school teacher at a charter school and is not paid when she is not at work. She also does not have extra money for rent and other bills while she is not working. We are investigating any financial resources available but are grateful for any support our friends, family and community can offer.
Also please consider registering for the bone marrow registry and donating blood!
