Wyatt Markley's Legacy

**Update**

It is with heavy and broken hearts that this family has to say we lost Wyatt Markley to the injuries he sustained in this tragic accident. There really are no words that could truly express the level of grief felt. Wyatt's kindness and loving spirit will always be with us and anyone who knew him knows how special this young man was and will forever be. Although we only got to see him up close for a short 18 years, his light will live on for many more to come. Please let us take solace in knowing Wyatt shielded an infant who was in the backseat of the vehicle with him during the accident, and that this child can grow up into the type of person Wyatt was. Wyatt had a recent conversation with his dad about what it meant to be an organ donor, so when he finally got his license, he checked yes. Because of his decision, Wyatt will save at least 4 more lives with this act of selflessness.

Thank you to everyone who donated to help in his recovery. All donations will be used toward funeral arrangements and helping our family heal. The road to the family healing will be a long one, with some good days and some really hard times. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.

God has called his angel home.
Rest easy Wyatt. You are loved, and we will forever miss you ❤️

___________________________________________________________________________

This is Wyatt Markley. He is 18 years old. He recently graduated high school and has been working full time and taking college classes. He has an older brother and 2 younger sisters. He is a proud and happy uncle. Wyatt is funny, kind, sweet and so helpful to his friends and family. Unfortunately on November 12th he was in a terrible car accident with a group of friends. They were t-boned by a pickup truck and Wyatt was unresponsive on site. His parents have been by his side 24/7. He has a very long road to recovery as he has sustained severe damage to his head and Wyatt is currently at UPMC Hamot in the Trauma Neuro ICU. He is currently in an induced coma. Although his health insurance is covering most of his hospital needs, there is still so much uncertainty for this young man. Helping his parents, Jason and Brittany Markley with parking, meals and child care for Wyatt's younger siblings would be a gift from God and make the day to day for the family that much easier. Please let's show this family some support and help on Wyatt's road to recovery."
