Support Wyatt's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Wyatt was in a major accident on May 22nd. He hit two elk coming down Piceance Creek on his way back from his cousin's graduation. By the grace of God and some guardian angels, Wyatt survived. He was airlifted to St. Mary's where he has been since. He suffered a traumatic brain injury. He has made many remarkable steps to recovery in a short amount of time. He is such a strong-willed and determined person.
He is scheduled to be released on July 9th to come home, but he has a long road ahead of him. Although this is absolutely amazing, this is much sooner than expected or originally anticipated. Wyatt will have daily therapy in Rifle. In order for him to come home and continue to get better, Wyatt's home will need to be set up for him to stay safe and be able to complete basic daily functions. This requires some fairly serious construction and remodeling in a short amount of time. Along with that, the unknown of what he will need at home is somewhat overwhelming.
If you know Wyatt at all, he hates to ask for help, but loves to be the one who gives help. Wyatt can't wait to get back to work and get back to fishing! He is such an inspiration and we know he will get there. This is a very difficult ask, but he is young and needs your help. Tirea (Mom) and Danielle (2nd Mom) would appreciate any help as well. Thank you all for the love and support!
