Support Wyatt's Urgent Heart Surgeries

We are raising funds for Baby Wyatt who was born July 1st in Lima, Peru.

Wyatt is the son of Katie Tofte de Pereira and David Pereira Bardales.

Katie is a full time Nurse Missionary in Iquitos Peru, she was born and raised in Clear Lake, IA.

Katie and her husband David met in Peru and have been married just over of a year. Pregnant with their first child the young newlyweds were heartbroken to find that at 34 weeks gestation Wyatt was diagnosed with a rare heart condition, left ventricular hypoplasia, this means the left side of his heart is signifcantly smaller than the right.

Katie and David were sent to Lima last week to prepare with medical teams which led to Wyatt being born on the 1st of July via C-section and he is already a miracle. He was brought immediately to the NICU and is in need of extensive care, including heart surgery this week with a follow up surgery 15 days later.

Peruvian Medical Care coverage is very different from coverage here in the States and all costs need to be paid for up front with or without medical insurance and while they are working to figure out Wyatt's insurance coverage it all has to be paid upfront before care is given regardless. His first surgery alone will cost a minimum of $25,000.

There is urgency in getting this miracle child the surgeries and NICU care he needs to survive.
