Support Xu and Lien's Road to Recovery

On Saturday August 11th, after falling the previous day and morning of, Lien Pham, Xu's mom, was admitted to the hospital in Seattle. She is currently still there and receiving treatment.

Because Xu is in the service industry, she has no accessible time off, making it incredibly challenging to both care for her mother and ensure that bills are paid.

Xu is her only caregiver and has been diligently at her side in the hospital, occasionally only leaving when she must attend work. Having to balance both things, let alone the emotional toll and grief, has been incredibly challenging and emotionally and physically taxing for both parties.

Xu acts as an interpreter and advocate for her mother Lien, translating all communication from medical staff regarding treatment, diagnosis, process, billing, insurance, and therapy. Understandably this has been a very scary experience for Lien, and Xu is the only person who can communicate/translate what is being said, and how it's being experienced and felt for Lien.

Xu is facing the impending hardships of solely caring for her mother outside of hospital help, numerous future medical bills for her mother's rehabilitation including physical therapy, medication, medical supplies and equipment, improving home accessibility, and additional support, let alone any unforeseen expenses.

As anyone who knows and loves Xu, you know how caring, considerate, and generous she is with those around her. And for those closest to Xu, you know her mother is her absolute world, and this has been devastating for her even though she would never express that.

Donations of any amount will be extremely powerful to support Xu and Lien during their time of need. It will enable Xu to remain Lien's advocate, ensure and accelerate her recovery, and provide Xu enough space to be able to be a caregiver without the constant worry and pressure of cost.
