Help Ukrainian animal shelter and feed hungry homeless pets
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
My name is Yana Markevich and I am from Kharkiv, Ukraine. I am a volunteer.
For the past 16 years, I have been rescuing, taking care, feeding, sterilizing and getting homeless and abandon animals ready for adoption. Now, with the war going on in my country, I desperately need your help, as I no longer can manage financial part just on my own.
Since the war started, a lot of animals were left behind by their owners, because they simply couldn't take them with them fleeting to different cities or countries to avoid bombing and attacks. A lot of animal owners never returned home, because they have died or got killed. Now these poor animals really need your help, more than ever. Most of them no longer have home or an owner, starving, being injured and helpless. Their lives are in your hands.
I currently have over 300 animals, including those in a shelter where they are vaccinated, sterilized and ready for adoption.
My shelter is a home to over 50 animals right now, including 6 dogs and 45 cats. Additionally, I also take care of rescued dogs, which number now have reached to almost 53. Sadly, these dogs will never find a home, because everyone prefers pure breed animals. Since 2009 up to now, I also have been covering the cost of other people to foster our animals and provide them temporary housing.
Every day my husband and I travel around the city of Kharkiv and nearby industrial zone to feed hungry cats and dogs and help people, who stayed, to care for them.
Every day we need money to buy food and supplies for them.
I would be so grateful to anyone, who can help me to continue on this difficult path. I love animals very much and my dream is to find a home for every one of them in future. No pets deserve to starve or die, even during tough times.
I kindly ask everyone, who also loves and feels bad for these animals- please, please, please help us to make their lives a little easier. Every donation counts!!! Even $1 can save a life!!!
Thank you very much beforehand!!!
I do have a Facebook page and Instagram with more videos and photos of the animals in case you want to check it out. Here are the links below:
