Support Mateo Family (Yeison Elias Mateo Romero )
The news of the horrific and senseless murder of young, 5-year-old Yeison Elias Mateo Romero of Canton, MS, came to light on August 26, 2021. Yeison suffered from a gunshot wound to his head caused by a stray bullet while his mother was refueling her vehicle in a Marathon gas station. Yeison was then taken to UMMC in Jackson, where he died from his injuries.
Yeison and his family were looking forward to his 6th birthday on September 15, and are now insteading making funeral arrangements for this innocent little boy that was taken by the gun violence and crime.
We hope to help in support of the Mateo-Romero family during this unimaginable time of the death of this innocent life. We hope to raise enough funds to help Yeison’s family pay for his unexpected burial and medical expenses.
“My boy was just a little saint,” said his father. “He did nothing wrong. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS.

Hopefully we will be able to ease some of the financial burden of this tragedy. El terrible y tragico asesinato del pequeño Yeison Elias Mateo Romero de tan solo 5 años de edad ocurrio los hechos en la ciudad de Canton, MS, el 26 de Agosto del 2021. El pequeño Yeison recibió un disparo en la cabeza por una bala perdida, mientras su madre echaba gasolina a su vehículo en una gasolinera Marathon en Canton. Yeison fue llevado a UMMC en Jackson, donde finalmente murió a causa de sus heridas.
Yeison y su familial estaban emocionados de celebrar su sexto cumpleaños el 15 de septiembre, y ahora la famila Mateo Romero lamentablemente tienen que hacer arreglos para su enterio de este inocente nino que fue impactado por la violencia y crimen.
Esperamos con las donaciones de la comunidad en ayudar la familia Mateo Romero para gastos de su funeral.
