Hello, my name is Yolonda Mitchell. I am raising money to replace all of my things that were stolen from my daughter and I.

To give you a back story, my daughter and I were getting ready to move to a new home, so we took two days to pack all of our belongings in a U-Haul. Literally EVERYTHING!! We spent our last night in our old home ready for the next day to head to our new home, but when I woke up i looked outside and the U-Haul was gone. At first i thought i was still sleep until i went outside and saw the broken glass on the ground. Right then i new it was real and i was surely awake. I called the police and d notified U-Haul about the stolen truck. A few hours later the truck was found in the next town over completely trashed with all of our belongings gone. They broke things and left my mattresses and boxsprings in the bushes/swamp. They took things that were very special to me & things that i can't buy like old pictures of my daughter, sentimental gifts and over all my piece of mind. The material things are replaceable, but some things aren't.

I am a single mother raising a teenage girl that has to live through this traumatic event. I'm hoping that you find it in your heart to make a donation to get our new home furnished. we're literally starting with the clothes on our backs. We are in need of everything it takes to furnish a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment.

U-Haul is not taking any responsibility for my stolen items due to it not being covered in my contract. I couldn't afford the insurance at the time of the rental agreement, however I did call the next day to add it on, but they said that it couldn't be added after the truck was rented which sucks cause I was told something completely different.
