Help Samah and Her Children Survive the Gaza Genocide
Donation protected

My name is Samah. I am a mother of two children, Youseff (4) and Hoda(2). Before the war, I lived a simple yet fulfilling life, focused on raising my children and providing for them as best as I could. But when the war began, it turned our lives into a constant fight for survival.

When the bombings started, we were forced to flee from our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We have been displaced multiple times, moving from one unsafe place to another, constantly searching for shelter and food. My husband suffers from asthma, and it has been difficult to find the medication he needs to breathe, let alone enough food to feed our children.
There have been many days when Youseff and Hoda went to sleep hungry, and their little bodies are so frail from malnourishment. They were overjoyed the last time we received help and were able to eat fruits and vegetables again, but those moments are too few. As a mother, there is no greater pain than watching your children suffer while feeling powerless to help them.

The Cost of Survival in Gaza
The war has made basic necessities impossible to afford for families like mine. Prices for everyday items have skyrocketed due to extreme shortages and blockades.
Here is a breakdown of current costs in Gaza:
- Milk and baby formula: $40 per container.
- Diapers: $80 per pack.
- 1 kg of sugar: $30.
- 1 kg of flour: $250.
- 1 liter of frying oil: $17.
- 1 kg of tomatoes: $40.
- 1 kg of potatoes: $38.
- 1 kg of green peppers: $100.
- 1 plate of eggs: $100.
- 1 kg of cucumbers: $50.

The Cost of Evacuation
For families like Samah’s, the cost of evacuating to safety is staggering:
- $5,000 per adult.
- $2,500–$3,000 per child under 12 years old.
- $1,000 in border exit fees per person.
- $100–$200 per passport for each family member.

How Donations Will Be Used
With your generous contributions, we will prioritize the following for Samah and her family:
- Fresh food, including fruits and vegetables, to nourish Youseff and Hoda.
- Diapers for Hoda to ensure her hygiene and health.
- Asthma medication for Samah’s husband so he can breathe without pain.
- Warm clothing and blankets to protect the family from the cold.
- Medicine to treat illnesses and injuries caused by malnutrition and harsh conditions.
