The Bixler family suffered a terrible tragedy with the devastating loss of Brian Bixler, a loving husband and caring father. He was killed in an awful car accident while on his way home from work on Sunday, December 4th. Brian leaves behind his wife, Makenzie. He is also survived by his 3-year old daughter Evelyn and his 7 month old baby, Elyanna. Makenzie, a teacher at a small rural school, is struggling not only with the loss of her husband, the father of her baby, and her best friend, but also with his funeral expenses and the idea of being a widowed mother at the age of 25. All funds raised will go towards funeral expenses and the cost of raising little Elly alone. Every little bit helps.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
It is with my deepest regret that I inform you that last night, I lost my husband, best friend, and father to my little girl, Brian Bixler. I am honestly not entirely sure where to go from here. I've never known pain could be this deep. I am so grateful that Elly and I have so many people who love us so much. Brian was my rock, and could always, without fail, make me laugh. I know now that I, and everyone who loves Brian, must be strong for our baby. It will be so, so, so hard, but we will get through this difficult time. Thank you, everyone. We love you so much.

I already miss you more than I can possibly express. You are and will forever be my sun and stars. Elly will always know how amazing her father was. Every time she looks up with her beautiful blue eyes, you will be remembered. I'm not going to say anything cheesy like that you're in a better place now, because I know you'd get mad if I did, but I will say that I hope you rest easy. I wish you the best of luck in your future lives, and we will, most certainly, meet again. Until then, you will remain everything to me. I promise you that I will raise our daughter to be the most amazing woman you'd ever know. I love you so, so, so, so much.
