Summary
Continuing last year's fundraising success, which brought our coaches to the U.S. Nationals in Las Vegas, this year we are establishing the HW Global Foundation Annual Campaign. Our annual campaign will partially fund the participation of our talented, young athletes in training camps and tournaments all year long. To stand out among other rising stars, our kids work hard all year to qualify for these special events, and we do not want their families' inability to pay for these events to hinder their progress. It is important to note that our annual campaign will not cover any operational costs HW Global Foundation may have; 100% will go to our young athletes to allow them to train and compete at a high level at national training camps and tournaments. We will have a process for families to request funds to help their worthy kids attend special training and competition events. We will summarize these events on our website.
Our Olympic dreams
Table tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world but is still growing in popularity as a sport in the United States - it remains one of only a few Olympic sports in which the U.S. has not medaled. The HW Global Foundation Talent Development Program, which my husband and I founded, hopes to change that. We are working to raise up new generations of table tennis players who not only excel at but are great ambassadors of the sport. The number of kids that the Foundation supported has grown from ten at its inception to over forty. The #1 player in the U.S. under age 11 joined our TDP program at its inception. Our young athletes train all week with their coaches and compete in local and regional tournaments year-round. They have Olympic dreams.
To keep reaching for the stars, our kids need your support! We're raising $15,000 to fund our inaugural HW Global Foundation Annual Campaign to ensure that our young athletes have the training and competition opportunities they need to succeed in the sport they love. Competition and training at a high level is expensive for the families of our young athletes, who already pay for private lessons, group training, and equipment. If you can help us reach our goal, you will be supporting the growth of table tennis in the United States and most importantly, inspiring our kids to reach for their dreams throughout their lives!
Join us in making an impact on our young athletes and the sport of table tennis in the USA by supporting the HW Global Foundation's Annual Campaign.
Kudo from a TDP Parent
We are extremely gratified to receive the appreciation of our TDP families as their children learn and grow through our program. One email we recently received follows.
Dear Coaches,
Thank you for giving (my child) the opportunity to join Talent Development Program. (My child) learned invaluable lessons from you and the teammates. This experience is life changing and cannot be learned from books. (He) is very lucky to have you as his coaches.
Thanks again for your coaching and this great educational program.

About HWGF
I’m Wen Hsu and my husband and I founded the HW Global Foundation and its Talent Development Program in 2015 to improve the lives of children ages 6+ through the Olympic sport of table tennis. Kids that the TDP coaching team and I accept into the Talent Development Program work hard, have a great attitude, and are worthy ambassadors of the sport. Our young athletes have improved rapidly with the program’s support and currently place well in national rankings. We thank you for helping get our athletes one step closer to their dreams, playing for team USA!
HW Global Foundation, Inc. is a United States 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN: 46-4510112), and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
