Support Your Local Postman While He's Recovering..
Donation protected
We often see our local postman out and about delivering mail on a regular basis. We typically take caution when we see mail trucks, and respect their space because, well.....We NEED our mail delivered, right?
Well, yesterday was a terrible day for my nephew Isaac, who is a mailman in the Grand Rapids, Mi area. It started off as a normal Saturday for him, delivering mail as usual until someone out of no where smashed into his vehicle and he was ejected from the mail truck. The paramedics arrived to the scene and were shocked at the amount of blood, and his current condition. The paramedic told Isaac, "You're lucky to be alive, it's not often we see people get ejected out of vehicles and actually survive."
Isaac currently has staples in his head, recently underwent surgery with the plastic surgeon to correct his multiple mouth injuries. His body is scraped, and bruised as you would expect after a vehicle ejection. At this point his face somewhat resembles "The Joker," so we don't plan on posting any pictures anytime soon.
As you know, I don't often ask for much, or ever do fundraisers, but he needs to take some time off of work to recover. Any donation will help him pay his bills, or even help him buy food so he doesn't have to cook. Even $5 goes a long way for someone recovering.
Thank you all in advance, and we appreciate any support you can give.
