Support Zephyr Mays on his Brain Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Jessica and I’m raising money for my husband, Zephyr Mays. Zephyr has been in the United States Coast Guard for 20 years. He started out as a helicopter rescue swimmer and became a H-60 pilot. He’s known for showing up for everyone around him, when they need him and now we have the opportunity to show up and support him.
Last, Sunday Zephyr collapsed while running. He was rushed to the ER where they discovered he had a brain bleed. He was transferred to a hospital 90 minutes away and was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumor. He will be traveling next week to get care in Boston. We may need to be setting up home in the city for an extended period of time.
All the traveling, hotels, pet care, child care, moving costs etc. are starting to add up and will continue to as we get Zephyr the care he needs. He has agreed to let others help. If you could donate even a small amount to help us with the mounting costs, we would be truly grateful.
July 4th, 2022: The latest news will be posted on Caring Bridge.
To say thank you for carrying Jessica, Lillian, and I in this moment feels to me like woefully inadequate words to express my gratitude and love for you being here with us, but they are the only words I can find right now.
With love and hope,
Fly and be safe!
Zephyr
