Support Zimbabwe's Top STEM Talent

A team of 11 young scientists representing 9 amazing science and engineering projects will be representing Zimbabwe in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2023. The Regeneron ISEF is the world’s oldest and biggest pre-university science competition. These students represent Zimbabwe’s top STEM talent. It can't be expressed how positive an impact these opportunities have on the students, their families, their communities and the future of STEM in Zimbabwe.

At Regeneron ISEF, the world’s top young scientists compete for over $5 million in awards, scholarships and lab equipment. The 2023 edition of ISEF will be held on 13 – 19 May in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Zimbabwean young scientists have done great in the ISEF before, including getting scholarships to the Arizona State University and the University of Arizona, having an asteroid named after a Zimbabwean for the first time in history, scooping the Oracle Academy Award two times in a row, and many other prestigious awards. However, for Zimbabwean ISEF finalists to scoop more top awards at the ISEF, they need more support as they prepare for this fierce competition.

The Zimbabwe Science Fair is creating a boot camp to provide a platform for the 11 students to receive intensive project mentorship. The 4-day boot camp will see the young scientists being coached on project execution, presentation, and report writing. The climax of the boot camp will be a mini-science fair which will be broadcast live on Youtube and Facebook for all to celebrate the young scientists as well as provide feedback.

Your donation will be used to cover venue fees, meals and transportation for the 11 students, accompanying teachers and 2 mentors during the boot camp.
