Support Zolimar's Dream to Perform in Italy

Thank you for helping me to make my dream of visiting the birthplace of Vivaldi, one of the greatest Italian classical music composer, come true!

My name is Zolimar Garcia and music us my passion and something I cannot imagine my life without.

I play flute and piccolo. I started playing flute in 6th grade. At first I was not sure if music was my future, but one concert changed my life. I went to QCSO movie in concert where Ernesto Estigarribia conducted. I already knew Mr. Estigarribia from his visit to my school. Once I heard the music and saw someone who is also Latino like me conducting on stage I knew that this is what I wanted to do in my life.

When I was in 8th grade I auditioned and got in to QC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and year after I moved up to QC Youth Symphonic Orchestra. I made to All State highest orchestra when I was in 10th grade.

In 2025 QCSO is giving members of Youth Symphonic Orchestra a chance to go on trip to Italy. It is one of a kind opportunity. We will visit three cities in Italy where we will also perform as Orchestra. For someone like me, who is working towards becoming a professional musician in future, this is an opportunity of a lifetime. To visit a birthplace of some of the greatest classical music composers where they lived and created their masterpieces does not come often. My family is of lower means and they cannot afford to pay the whole amount that is why I hope to raise some funds so I could go to my first tour as musician. I would appreciate greatly any donation to help me make this dream come true.
