Support Zyion and Jojo with their mothers Cremation

Dear friends and family,

Most of you know that our Godsons Zyion and Jojo, have been living with us for a couple of years now. The boys and their mother had become homeless after a fire had burned down their apartment. Rather than having them in a shelter, they came to live with us. The plan was that this would give their mother (Christina) time to get caught up and on her feet. In the meanwhile we had a wonderful relationship with Christina. Sadly, she never got the opportunity to make a better life for her and the boys. On January 13th, 2025 Christina was killed in a car accident.

Tom and I thought we have been through hardtimes, but nothing up until now has been as hard as having to awake the boys with the news of their mother's death. With little family and not many ties to the kin, Tom and I have been given the responsibility of Christina’s Creamation.

The boys have already had to deal with the unthinkable. Zyion and Jojo had originally requested their mother to be buried next to her grandmother who raised her. However, financially this isn't an option. Now they would just like to be able to have her ashes and a private celebration of life with our immediate family.

We know times are tough and we all just made it through the raft of the holidays. However, we need help from our friends and family to come up with enough money for her cremation and urn in the next couple days. There was No life insurance or money set aside for this kind of scenario for their mother. As all of you that know us know, we have never received a penny for raising these children, leaving us with no way to accumulate a savings of any sort. Our goal is to provide the funeral home with enough money to do an immediate cremation. The boys shouldn't have to have this linger on longer than they already have had to worry about this. Please help! We appreciate anything you feel is right to give. We hope you will take a pause in your busy day to show the boys the love and support they need to see from others during this time.
